Velo Birmingham - 100 mile closed road bike ride September 2018
The first ever Velo Birmingham event on 24 September 2017 was an amazing success, with over 1,000 riders taking part for Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
In September 2018, over 15,000 cyclists will line up in the heart of Birmingham city centre before heading out on a 100 mile route on completely closed roads through picturesque countryside in the second Velo Birmingham.
As one of the official charities of the event, you can ride in support of any of our hospitals and be part of a team of over 1,000 riders cycling for Birmingham's hospitals!
Whether you are a seasoned sportive rider, a cycling newbie on a mission to complete a century ride or a charity fundraiser in search of an epic challenge, Velo Birmingham will deliver an unforgettable experience for each and every participant.
Ways to enter:
1. Golden Bond places
The Charity has a number of Golden Bond places, which mean you can ride for the hospital charity team, receive a Charity cycling top specific to the hospital you are supporting, and our training hints and tips, but we ask for riders to raise a minimum of £400 in sponsorship as well as pay a registration fee of £40.
This is because we have a limited number of these guaranteed places, and want to maximise the amount of money we can raise to support our patients and their families.
