Velo Birmingham - 100 mile closed road bike ride 24 September 2017
On Sunday 24 September 2017, 15,000 cyclists will line up in the heart of Birmingham city centre before heading out on a 100 mile route on completely closed roads through the picturesque Worcestershire and Herefordshire countryside in the first ever Velo Birmingham.
Over 1,000 of the cyclists will be riding for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and you can be part of our team too!
NEW! - we now also have places available if you want to ride for Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital or Solihull Hospital!
Whether you are a seasoned sportive rider, a cycling newbie on a mission to complete a century ride or a charity fundraiser in search of an epic challenge, Velo Birmingham will deliver an unforgettable experience for each and every participant.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity is one of the official charities of the event, and you can join our team by taking one of our Golden Bond places, or if you already have your own place, we'd love you be part of the team.
Ways to enter:
1. Golden Bond places (VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY)
The Charity has a small number of Golden Bond places, which mean you can ride for the QEHB Charity team, receive a Charity cycling top and our training hints and tips, but we ask for riders to raise a minimum of £400 in sponsorship as well as pay a registration fee of £40.
This is because we have a limited number of these guaranteed places, and want to maximise the amount of money we can raise to support our patients and their families.
If you are interested in taking part in Velo to support your hospital charity, please email email@example.com and we can let you know if further places because available.
If you already have a place you can set up a JustGiving page to fundraise online by clicking here.
2. Standard entry via Velo Birmingham is now sold out.
If you have already got your own place via Velo Birmingham and would like to join the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity team please click here.
By joining the QEHB Charity team, you will receive a Charity cycling top and our training hints and tips.
Again, you can set up a JustGiving page to fundraise online by clicking here.
Ride for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity and choose whether you want to support military patients, cancer patients or simply the QE Hospital as a whole and join Team Military, Team Cancer or Team QE Hospital, or cycle for Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital or Solihull Hospital.
