Taking place in the City Centre on Sunday 30 April, the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10K is set to return next year. The 6.2 mile event will see new and experienced runners take to the streets as they pass various city landmarks and enjoy tunes from 1970s, 80s, 90s and 00s.

Join QEHB Charity for a Dawn Chorus Walk through the Community Orchard and Gardens. Starting at 6am, Glenn Powell, The Conservation Volunteer’s Orchard Community Worker, will take you on an informal walk around the green spaces across the campus to listen to nature’s orchestra.Please meet at the main entrance of QEHB. Join us to walk the 5k route surrounding the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham to support the Dignity in Care Team and raise vital funds for elderly patients being treated here at the hospital.The walk will start at 10am outside the main entrance to the hospital. Sporting Lunch at Opus Restaurant

Join former Scotland and British & Irish Lions rugby star George 'Doddie' Weir for a sporting lunch at one of Birmingham's best fine dining destinations - Opus Restaurant.

This lunch takes place on Thursday 15 June, starting at midday for a 1pm sit-down, with a luxurious three course lunch and speeches from Doddie Weir and Barry Williams who is one of the funniest comperes in the country.

The money that is raised from this event will go towards the Elderly Care fund at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity who bring special entertainment systems, called My Life Dementia Improvement Systems, as well as other activities, to the elderly care wards at the hospital.

This promises to be an afternoon of top quality food, comradeship and sporting entertainment so is an event that is not to be missed.

Tickets are priced at £95 plus VAT and the tables are for ten people.
